It has been an interesting year. I have enjoyed submitting photos to Maxpreps.com and working for F8 Images and Developed Sports. Earlier this year I also had the privilege of covering the La Grange 5K race.

Tonight I take a step forward shooting my first assignment for Sun-Times Media Group. I think I have come a long way in one year and look forward to growing the business and shooting more sports in the coming years. I would like to thank all of the photojournalists and sports photographers that have helped me along the way. I am happy to be a part of the great community of Photographers. Here is to year 2!!

Life is like a Camera

Life is like a Camera, just focus on what's important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot.

Peter Read Miller Sports Photography Workshop 2012

April 27, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

I had the pleasure of attending the 2012 Peter Read Miller Sport Photography workshop in Denver CO last week. This workshop shows photographers how to improve their Sports Photography and each day we shot a different sport and worked on editing and critique the work. We covered the following sports..

Mountain Biking

Softball

Roller Derby

Lacrosse

Basketball

Baseball

Tennis

Track

Football

Boxing

I plan on attending the workshop next year. I got to rub elbows with some pretty cool photographers from around the world. I also got input from Peter Read Miller himself a world famous sports photographer who has worked for Sports Illustrated for close to 30 years. I learned more about the business of photography and what makes a great photo as opposed to just an OK photo. I plan to use the skills learned during the workshop to improve my photography. All in all I had a great time.

PS. When laying on the ground in Colorado to shoot pictures of Mountain Bikers watch out for the Cactus growing all over the area. :)
